I was able to participate in the Easter Journey to the Cross production put on by the Seventh Day Adventist Church.I played Abigail and was in Peter's denial scene. (I also got to push the remote button for the cock to crow after Peter's denial!) It was great to associate with other Christians in remembering Christ's last week. The director was awesome, he had such a great love of Christ. There were about 250 people in the cast with another 150 people who supported the production. They estimated that 3,000 people attended. It was a fantastic experience - this production is done annually and I would invite you to attend next Easter.

We filled up a yard waste bin and gathered leaves and branches in our back yard. Mom told us she needed help get the bin full of yard waste. She got sick and was not feeling well. My siblings and I thought it would be nice if we did it all by ourselves.

The Mount Spokane Zone served the day before. There was more work to do, so we came the following day. The Spokane Valley Adventist Church puts on an annual community Easter Event - Journey to the Cross. It is huge undertaking that involves creating multiple outdoor scenes in the life of the Savior. We helped prepare the grounds for this event. It always feels so good to help and be a part of things going on in our area - especially something as special as celebrating Easter.

Our Young Women group painted and assembled 10 bird house kits that will be used by Habitat for Humanity as table decorations at their annual fund raising event in May. After the luncheon, the bird houses will be auctioned off to help raise additional funds for Habitat. This effort is part of a Faith in Action committee that several churches in the committee belong to. There were a total of 60 bird houses completed by youth in these churches. We had to let the paint dry and then do some more touch ups and then Emerson (the son of one of our leaders) helped assemble them.
Who served: Young Women and Leaders and Emerson
Who was served: Habitat for Humanity and those that will ultimately be able to get a home.
Reactions: Habitat is thrilled with the youth getting involved to support this cause.
